When you add Crystal for Chrome, it’ll popup some permissions required for the extension:
People often ask why it says we can read and change all your data, all over the web. While we do read some data on websites you visit, google creates a broad permission that doesn’t specify what we actually do read. Instances when we read/modify data:
- If you’re on LinkedIn or other social media sites and try to pull up a profile, we’ll read the page URL to search for a profile. If we don’t have one, we’ll try to read the page to generate one.
- When we embed our button on social media and tools in gmail, we modify data on the page to insert it.
We do not read or store any of your personal information or communications anywhere on the web.
If you have any concerns over your privacy, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll answer any and all questions to the best of our ability.
